Dr. Adrian Kreeger:
Dr. Kreeger holds two Bachelor of Science Degrees from North Carolina State University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at NC State University (NCSU-CVM) in 1988. His veterinary honors include the American Animal Hospital Association Small Animal Medicine Award, the NCSU-CVM Avian Medicine Award, and the NCSU-CVM Equine Medicine and Surgery Award. He also was selected from his class to deliver the Commencement Address at the 1988 Hooding and Oath Ceremony for the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine.
Following graduation, Dr. Kreeger practiced in Ramseur, NC and in Walkertown, NC before “coming home” to the King area in 1994. He and his wife, Leisa, have two children. Their son, Justin, is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate of NC State University and is an Applications Engineer for Tread Corporation in Roanoke, Virginia. Their daughter, Meredith, is a Senior at North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, NC. The Kreegers share their farm with their dog, “Morgan,” and their three cats, “Opie,” “Tiger,” and “Junior.” Their farm was recently honored by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and the North Carolina State Fair by being recognized as a “North Carolina Century Farm” because of its continuous agricultural production by the same family for over one hundred years.
In his spare time, Dr. Kreeger serves as an instructor and as a member of the Representative Leadership Team for the Veterinary Information Network ( http://vin.com ). This is a worldwide online community of over 40,000 veterinarians who work together sharing knowledge to optimize the level of care provided to their patients.
Dr. Kreeger has served locally on the Board of Directors of the King Chamber of Commerce (2009-2011), on the Board of Directors as the Board President of the Old Richmond Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. (2004-2007), and as a volunteer firefighter with the Old Richmond Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad since 1990 (where he was honored as Rookie of the Year in 1992 and 1994 and as Firefighter of the Year in 1995 and 2011). He currently serves as Chairman of the Truck Procurement and the Department of Insurance Committees at the Old Richmond Fire Department.
He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, and currently is a member and serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Companion Animal Academy. |
